Flexcon Announces Global Launch of Medflex® for Medical Device Tracking & Labeling

Spencer, Mass. – December 13, 2023 – Flexcon Global, the preferred provider of innovative coatings, film laminations, and functional technologies, today announced the launch of its Flexcon® MedFlex® product line of polyester printable films and overlaminates for lifetime medical device labeling and tracking solutions. This line of label substrates meets all performance criteria required by the Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) unique device identifier (UDI) rule for FDA Class I, II, and III medical devices used outside the body. 

MedFlex® products reduce complexity with a simplified product offering, making it easier for customers and specifiers to select appropriate products for medical devices. All products are available globally from Quick-Ship. These industry-proven labeling and overlaminating solutions feature a permanent solvent-based biocompatible adhesive, with raw material components locked down to ensure consistent quality and performance.  

MedFlex® Plus and MedFlex® Overlam products are UL-recognized in accordance with UL/IEC 60601-1 3rd edition marking durability rub tests. Moreover, MedFlex® Plus films are UL Verified (V487460) with 6 additional cleaning agents per IEC 60601-1. MedFlex® products are available for immediate UL adoption, with basic adoption fees being credited by Flexcon upon reaching a predetermined purchase threshold.
