FLEXcon’s three new films in the THERMLfilm SELECT® series are designed as lower-coat weight alternatives that reduce adhesive ooze and improve diecutting. These constructions are compatible with color and black resin and wax/resin thermal transfer ribbon systems and are printable with conventional solvent and water-based inks. These products offer excellent TTR printability and adhesion suitable for appliance, hand tool, power tool and industrial compliance, warning/instructional and nameplate/brand ID labeling applications. They are ideal for fan-foldable applications and offer superior print quality to print-treated polyesters. All products are UL-recognized, coated with an aggressive, high-performance permanent acrylic adhesive, and backed with a roll-form release liner that is Quilon coated to prevent label pickoff. The new product offerings include: • THERMLfilm SELECT® 20980: a 2 mil gloss topcoated thermal transfer printable clear polyester. • THERMLfilm SELECT® 21980: a 2 mil gloss topcoated thermal transfer printable white polyester. • THERMLfilm SELECT® 22980: UL/cUL-recognized, 2 mil gloss topcoated thermal transfer printable silver matte polyester.
