    FLEXcon’s TC-267 Topcoat Yields Four Unique Non-Vinyl Films

    Date: October 23, 2009

    With the introduction of its durable TC-267 topcoat, FLEXcon will be adding four, unique non-vinyl films ideal for eye-catching graphics used in retail, point-of-purchase, and tradeshow displays as well as in flexible magnets, and novelty, school and bumper stickers.

    Geared for such wide format solvent and eco solvent printers as Mimaki, Roland VersaCamm, HP Designjet 8000, and Seiko, the four VBS Supreme products using TC-267 are:

    • FLEXmark® MM 200 Silver TC-267 V-344 90 PFW;

    • FLEXmark® PM 200 Clear TC-267 V-344 90 PFW;

    • FLEXmark® PM 200 White TC-267 V-344 90 PFW;

    • BRUSHcal® MM 200 BBStainless TC-267 V-344 90 PFW.

    The durable, exterior TC-267 topcoat and FLEXcon’s V-344 adhesive, make these films ideal for high- and low-surface energy substrates. The films are also backed with a 90-lb., moisture-stable polycoated layflat release liner for ease of converting. The TC-267 on PET films, however, is not limited to promotional advertising retail displays, stickers and decals.

    “These products can also be used in durable, consumer applications, including power tools, exercise equipment, appliance or retail transaction equipment such as ATM machines, lottery equipment, and slot machines,” says Sam Covello, product manager for FLEXcon’s Performance Products Business Team. “These offerings open the door for owners of wide format solvent and eco solvent inkjet printers to expand beyond just promotional applications.”

    While the four, unique non-vinyl films represent FLEXcon’s off-the-shelf solutions, FLEXcon can also create custom product constructions—adhesive coat weight, liners, and film gauge—to meet customer-specific requirements.

    FLEXcon’s TC-267 topcoat can be used to customize any of FLEXcon’s existing eye-catching PET film substrates, including gold, silver, bright brushed stainless steel (BBStainless), clear, and white in different calipers. TC-267 can also be paired with any of FLEXcon’s wide variety of adhesive choices.
