With placements of UV inkjet printers growing at twice the rate of solvent inkjet printers, FLEXcon is meeting the increasing format demand with SEETHRU-SIGN® Clear Flex 2 (STSCF2), a UV inkjet printable film ideal for interior-mounted retail window graphics. In addition, there is a growing interest in the marketplace for interior-mounted perforated window graphics as many state and local governments are beginning to regulate this advertising medium.
The VBS Better product is one of many products that will be featured by FLEXcon in booth #201 at the 2009 SGIA Expo, October 7-9, in New Orleans. STSCF2 is a line extension of SEETHRU-SIGN Clear Flex, which has a solid liner for conventional printing. SEETHRU-SIGN Clear Flex 2 is a 6.0-mil 70/30 perforated clear vinyl film coated with a removable adhesive and backed with a perforated 90-lb. lay flat release liner capped with a clear sheet liner. This liner system allows the product to be UV inkjet printable. It is also printable via UV and solvent screen.
STSCF2 is a unique product that can help printers make the most of their capabilities and offer a differentiated solution to their clients. The print image area of STSCF2 is greater—70 percent image area and a 30 percent perforation (70/30)—than competitive products that have a 50/50 pattern. This makes it ideal for retail window graphics.
Because it is meant for indoor use, it is less likely that graphics printed on STSCF2 will be vandalized or stolen. As an additional benefit, STSCF2 can help conserve energy when printed with full ink coverage because it reduces heat from sunlight.
