    FLEXcon Receives 2011 AIMCAL Marketing Award in Decorative Category for Tecate Application of FLEXmark®

    FLEXcon, a leading manufacturer of pressure-sensitive films, today announced it was the recipient of the Marketing Award in the Decorative/Display category in the 2011 AIMCAL Vacuum Metallized or Coated Product Competition. AIMCAL, the Association of Industrial Metallizers, Coaters and Laminators, recognized FLEXcon in technical excellence for its FLEXmark® MMV 400 product overlaminated with FLEXmark® OV6602 used for indoor floor advertising.

    Tecate Beer AIMCAL Marketing AwardFLEXcon was honored for the FLEXmark® Indoor Floor Advertising System and its application by Tecate Beer (owned by Heineken USA). The advertisement was used within the “path to purchase” campaign to increase in-store presence and capture shoppers’ attention. The FLEXmark Indoor Floor Advertising System provided Tecate with a durable metallic effect solution to support their vivid graphics reinforcing the strong Tecate brand image. FLEXcon’s FLEXmark Indoor Floor Advertising System meets industry standards for slip resistance while providing a consistent surface smoothness, excellent dimensional stability and removability up to 180 days following installation.

    AIMCAL’s annual competition recognizes significant technologies that have had an impact on the converting industry of the consuming market. Winners were announced at the AIMCAL Awards Banquet on March 20, 2011, at the Boulders Resort in Carefree, AZ.
